I am listing this on behalf of a relative's kimono shop that is considering closing.
This listing is for the fabric (tanmono) only.
The obi (sash) is listed separately.
This is a solid-colored fabric in a gentle, milk cocoa-like hue.
The fourth photo is the closest representation of the color.
I believe this color is suitable for all ages, from young women to the elderly.
It will complement both a gorgeous obi with gold and silver accents, as well as an obi with a darker base color.
It comes with a matching hagari, so there is 16m of fabric.
A young woman could have it made into a single-layered furisode (long-sleeved kimono), and as she gets older, she could shorten the sleeves and wear it as a regular solid-colored kimono, allowing her to wear it for many years.
The shop used to sell this for 158,000 yen.
